Making things simple with MentorLive
Since its launch last year, our online offering,
MentorLive, has proven very popular with our customers.
Many use the comprehensive "HR How-To Guides"; others use the
Employee Records and Management Tools and others like logging in
regularly to keep up to date with news and developments across the
Employment Law & HR, Health & Safety and Environmental
fields.
But we know that it's often too easy to go to the part of
MentorLive you already know about and not venture into
other areas. We want all our customers to make the most of our
service because we're sure your business will benefit from making
the fullest use of the tools and materials available on
MentorLive.
In a series of "Did you know?" guides, we'll explore a different
area of MentorLive each month and explain how you can make
the best use of these resources to support your business.
Did you know....
that you can keep track of the cost of employee absence
in your business?
With MentorLive, you can prepare bespoke reports on the
cost of employee absence within your business or organisation.
How can I do this?
Use our Employee Records and Management
Tools.
To do this, you'll need to enter details of all your employees
into your Employee Records but once you've done this, you can use
the Employee Records to record other information such as pay,
holidays and any Health & Safety requirements.
As long as you keep the records up-to-date, by clicking on "HR
Reports" you'll be able to run reports at any time on Employee
Absence including its cost to the business. You can also break down
the reports further to specific areas, such as departments, job
roles, or locations.
What's the business benefit?
By keeping a record of employee absence, you'll be able to
identify where problem areas exist within your business and see how
much they are costing you.
You'll be able to use the reports to help you decide what action
to take, which might include performance management measures,
taking steps to reduce workplace stress and even taking
disciplinary action.
